22 Feb 08 Bangkok - Arrival

23 Feb 08 Bangkok - Public Transport Tour
You will be met by your guide at your hotel at 9am before transferring to the Skytrain. Enjoy an elevated view of central Bangkok before boarding a river express boat to the Flower Market. Enjoy the sights and smells before taking an exciting tuk tuk ride to Wat Pho to see the famous Reclining Buddha. Enjoy a thirty minute massage from the temple’s near by traditional Thai massage school.
Break for lunch at a local restaurant, and then head to the pride of Thailand, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew housing the Emerald Buddha. Take a stroll down the street to a local Buddhist amulet market before boarding a river express boat to the Skytrain station and return to your hotel.

24 Feb 08 Chiang Mai - Arrival
Catch your flight - Bangkok Airways PG215 departing at 08:40 & arriving at 09:55.
You will be met at Chiang Mai Airport and taken to a local B&B where you will be made welcome by Pam, a Thai tour guide and the owner of the B&B.
In the afternoon visit Doi Suthep, the most important Wat in Chiang Mai. Perched high above the city, it offers wonderful views of the city and countryside below.

25 Feb 08 Chiang Mai - Working with the Elephants
Visit the Elephant Nature Park, a wonderful organization dedicated to conserving and promoting elephants. Spend the day learning to bath, feed and command these amazing beasts of burden. Please bring a change of clothes or a swimsuit as you will get wet giving the elephants their daily bath.

26 Feb 08 Luang Prabang - Arrival
Transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for your onward flight - Laos Airlines QV645 departing at 15:05 & arriving at 16:05
Upon arrival in Luang Prabang you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Have the afternoon at leisure exploring Luang Prabang and don't miss the night market.

27 Feb 08 Luang Prabang - Day Trek to Kuangsy Waterfall
You will be met at your hotel and driven to the starting point of your trek. Your hike will take you along mountainous paths where your local guide will introduce you to the three hill tribe groups as you walk through stunning scenery to remote villages.
You will visit H'mong and Khmu villages in this 5 hour trek which finishes at the Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can enjoy a well deserved swim and lunch before returning to Luang Prabang by minivan.

28 Feb 08 Siem Reap - Arrival
Wake up early to see monks receive morning alms. Return to your hotel for breakfast after which your guide will take you on a city tour including Phousi Mount, the National Museum, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visun, and Wat Sen.
Transfer to Luang Prabang airport from your hotel in time for your flight - SiemReap AirwaysFT634 departing at 12:30 & arriving at 14:55
You will be met by a Journeys Within representative and taken to Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast where you will meet your host Brandon Ross.

29 Feb 08 Siem Reap - Angkor Wat
This morning head to Angkor Wat in an air conditioned car, or if you choose by bike, with your guide. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Also visit Ta Prohm and Banteay Kdei, two of the more unique temples in the complex. Return to Journeys Within for lunch and a nap.
In the late afternoon visit the Wat Thmei Pagoda School sponsored by Journeys Within and benefiting disadvantaged children. Meet the children and help them practice their English.

01 Mar 08 Siem Reap - Village Tour
Start out early from Journeys Within on your bicycles. Our village guide will take you to his village riding through rice paddies and seeing typical Kamer homes along the way. At his village enjoy a fresh coconut drink and meet his family and neighbors. Walk from here to West Baray Lake where you can take a local boat to an island housing ancient Khmer ruins. Return to Journeys Within by your bicycles.
After Lunch head to Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out. Walk between the temples as your guide shows you detailed reliefs and hidden wonders.
Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight - Bangkok Airways PG916 departing at 20:55 & arriving at 21:50
Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel which is situated only 300 meters from the Bangkok International Airport. The Hotel operates a 24 hour free shuttle bus service between the terminal and the Hotel. Their shuttle service operates from Gate 4, Level 2 - Arrival Level.
